6. Have Loki Use Some Real Magic

Loki has undoubtedly been great so far. Tom Hiddleston has portrayed the character with cunning, charisma, fiendishness and finesse and he has garnered many fans as a result. However, his powers have actually been extremely underwhelming. Apart from having the obviously enhanced physical attributes of a Frost Giant/Asgardian, he has only really displayed an ability to cast illusions under his own power. Nothing else, in terms of magic, has really been worth mentioning - and that makes him a far cry from his mystically formidable comic book self. We need to see more from him. In the comics, he can fly, has telepathy, can astral project his mind, can teleport, hypnotise people, fire energy blasts, rearrange matter, cast spells and invoke the power of otherworldly demons and beings. The Marvel Cinematic Universe version would become much more of a believable threat if he started displaying just some of those abilities.
