3. Show That Odin's Power Dwarfs Thor's

Odin is one of the most powerful characters in Marvel comic books. The Allfather is capable of destroying galaxies as a mere side effect of his most brutal battles - such as the battles he had with the likes of Set and Infinity - and his power is so much greater than his son's that it isn't even questionable. However, so far at least, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he's yet to display anything like that kind of power and that somewhat takes away from the character's impact. Those viewers not familiar with the comic books would think Odin was less powerful than his son, going by what they've seen. Odin really needs to step up when the universe is in dire need in the future - such as when Thanos gets the Infinity Gauntlet - so we can truly see what he's capable of.
