10. Hidden In The Dark Dimension
The Dark Dimension is exactly how it sounds, a hellish, psychedelic plane of existence, populated by demons, monsters and evil sorcerers, and ruled over by the dread Dormammu. It's going to show up in Doctor Strange, although whether he actually journeys there or simply glimpses it remains to be seen. No matter the eventuality, due to the dimensions impossible nature and vivd visual properties, its entirely possible that it was created by an Infinity Stone. This theory works for a number of reasons. The first being that it immediately ties Doctor Strange into the Infinity War plot. Furthermore, the Stones existence could help to explain the more magical side of his film while helping shape it in a more scientific way; being the result of the reality-warping Stone is a better excuse than hand-waving. If Marvel wanted to really change things up, they could also render the Dark Dimension a prison of sorts. Weve seen both the Red Skull and Ronan disappear after using an Infinity Stone, so what if they were transported there instead of dying? It would certainly explain why HYDRA was so interested in Stephen Strange and could make for a huge twist in Doctor Strange.
