7. WAY More Screentime For Poe And Finn

Everyone's favourite bromance/romance from The Force Awakens was... ultimately forgotten about and replaced with "Finn and Rose" in The Last Jedi, though early ideas had the pair doing way more together.

Most notably, it was Finn and Poe who journeyed to Canto Bight, with Rose being nowhere to be seen. Rian Johnson ended up scrapping and revising the scenes altogether, calling the pair's dynamic "boring", instead bringing Rose in as a character that would challenge and better flesh out Finn, rather than the more expected "best friends getting along" stuff of him and Poe.

An additional scene came from just after Finn comes out of his bacta tank, where a more "character focused" exchange would see Poe filling Finn in as to everything that happened while he was under. We got a reduced version of this in the corridor, but again, it was initially penciled in to keep the focus on Finn and Poe as a pairing, which was removed going forward.
