10 Ways The Marvel Cinematic Universe Proves That Dreams Do Come True
7. Casting Choices Have Been Spot-On
As of yet, Marvel have yet to miscast a role. Apart from the lamentable whitewashing of The Ancient One in Dr. Strange, (and the even more disingenuous explanation offered by the company as to the reasons behind said casting) the MCU has been nigh-exemplary in determining who best fits a given character. Nowhere is this better seen than in Robert Downey Jr.'s and Chris Evans' amazing performances as Tony Stark and Steve Rogers respectively.
Beyond those affecting turns, Mark Ruffalo, Charlie Cox, John Bernthal, Elizabeth Olsen and Chadwick Boseman (to name but some) have all turned in near perfect portrayals of their characters, and considering just how notoriously divisive comic book castings have been in the past, Marvel's record in that area has been particularly noteworthy.
While the MCU is still prone to concocting the odd derisory character, or in some cases, even an entire film, (I'm looking at you, Thor: The Dark World) it's still got the best ratio of good castings out of all the other comic book movie universes.
