10 Ways To Get The Fantastic 4 Into The MCU (That Wouldn't Suck)
1. Make Them Fictional
The ’Marvels Comics Group’ event was a series of comics produced by Marvel that showed what comics might look like in the Marvel universe. The Spider-Man comic, for instance, being produced partly by J. Jonah Jameson, depicted Spider-Man as a horrific arachnoid menace. Marvel characters have occasionally even read comics about themselves, commenting on their accuracy or lack thereof.
If you can get your head around that, you’ll see how crazily meta Marvel comics within the MCU could be.
And what might be the titles of the Marvels Comics read by, say, the MCU’s Thor between punching sessions? Why not the Fantastic Four, full of the crazy space adventures of a super-scientist, invisible lady, flaming guy and rock man?
When the MCU’s characters lament that ‘real’ superhero business isn’t nearly as fun as the Fantastic Four comics makes it look, the universe might just implode with the force of self-reference.
