10 Ways To Get The Fantastic 4 Into The MCU (That Wouldn't Suck)
8. Use The Guardians Of The Galaxy
The Guardians occupy a part of the MCU very distant from the Avengers and Spider-Man. Theirs is a universe of high space adventure, of derring-do among the stars. Apart from the villain Thanos, there aren't many threads connecting the two.
The Fantastic Four could be that connective tissue that makes the whole MCU make sense.
During some space adventure of typically exaggerated ridiculousness, the Guardians are rescued by (or rescue) a human crew who recognise Peter Quill as a fellow Earthling. This crew, the Fantastic Four with Ben Grimm/Thing in the pilot's seat, are investigating whatever stellar anomaly is plaguing the universe - maybe a resurgent Galactus - and find in the Guardians useful allies in their quest.
The Silver Surfer, who scoots around the galaxy ahead of Galactus, could easily be thrown into the mix as a powerful cosmic hero/villain in his own right.
The serious-minded Reed Richards forms a sober, scientifically-minded counterpoint to the irreverent Star-Lord while the cocky Human Torch and Rocket Raconteur try to outdo each other in the destruction stakes. After their team-up the groups part ways, leaving the Fantastic Four to embark on their own brand of cosmic super-science adventures.
