6. Nod to the Past

A lot of us were excited about Terminator: Salvation before seeing the movie (which wasn't all that bad, just not all that great either) because of all the potential nods to the other films the film would have the privilege of included. Yes, the film did include quite a few, but there are so many important elements it would be awesome to show in the fifth movie.

I would love to see John Connor in the fifth send back Kyle Reese to save his mother in the first, perhaps as an opening scene before he witnesses another machine travel back to kill some earlier ancestors of his. It would also be awesome to see Robert Patrick's T-2 Terminator being sent back as well, or having John Connor come across an army of these Terminators in the future. We could also see how the first time machine is made and why it is made as well, because this is an element of these films that has been kept very much in the dark.
