10 Ways What If... Could Change The MCU

Peter Quill is a central character in the Guardians Of The Galaxy, and there’s a million different What Ifs you could do with the group. What If they never got together? What If Thanos never abducted Gamora? What If Nebula wasn’t raised so viciously? What If Rocket had never been created, or ever met Groot?

And of course, What If Peter had just let them take off the bloody Infinity Gauntlet on Titan?

There’s a rather compelling story in the Guardians saga which isn’t connected to them at all though. If Yondu had never picked up Peter, the very existence of the Guardians is in question, and we could focus on a massively overshadowed relationship in the MCU: Yondu and Kraglin.

Yondu’s death and subsequent funeral song of Father & Son highlights how Quill and Yondu saw each other. However, Kraglin too had been raised with the Ravagers, and while Quill sometimes feels like he got a raw deal in his childhood, it’s clear Kraglin believed Quill to be the favourite.

Kraglin inheriting Yondu’s arrow was a touching moment, and it would be interesting to see how their relationship might have gone without Quill in the mix too.
