Being late to a movie isnt the worst thing you could do in a cinema, but it at least shows a certain degree of thoughtlessness on your behalf if youre interrupting everyone just as theyre getting into the groove of a movie, bustling past seats and dropping popcorn on them in the dark as you try to coolly act as though the credits havent even started yet. That said, some people actually intend on arriving late these days due to the extravagant length of the adverts and movie trailers before a movie starts (upwards of 25 minutes in most multiplex showings, weve found). A clever time-saving trick, but only if you actually gauge the length of the pre-show filler correctly and get your seats before the curtains called. If not, youll probably end up looking like more of a wally than the shnooks who sat through the credits but actually arrived on time.
