4. Hawkeye - Even After Avengers: Age Of Ultron
Consider this: Jeremy Renner is a bit weird. Seriously, there's something not quite right about him, and he doesn't "fit" into the MCU in the same way that the majority of the other A-list actors do. He's one of those hard-to-place performers who - when he's on screen - it makes you feel uncomfortable. So either Renner secretly wishes he wasn't actually in The Avengers and that's coming through in his acting, or there's something plainly wrong with him. Simple as that. Hawkeye was a major disappointment as far as The Avengers was concerned, of course, and follow-up Age Of Ultron attempted to fix this issue by giving Renner more screen-time and a family and some emotional dialogue cues. Truth is, it doesn't pay off: Hawkeye still feels like an impostor; a fake Avenger with a hidden agenda, whose character and personality both still feel largely undefined. As a result, he's the one member of the team who doesn't completely gel - and it's distracting.
