7. Agent Phillip Jeffries Was Here - Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me (1992)
Special Agent Dale Cooper, David Lynch himself, Bob, The Man from Another Place and David Bowie. What more could you possibly want? This unsettling scene from Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, Lynchs follow-up and prequel to his short-lived yet celebrated TV series Twin Peaks, evokes the wondrous sense of both fear and curiosity that was so powerfully captured in the infamous Red Room on TV over 20 years ago. It features Bowie as the long-lost agent Phillip Jeffries as he charges into FBI headquarters, questioning Cooper's identity and recounting a dream he had about a meeting between Bob and The Man from Another Place. What it means exactly, as is almost always the case with Lynchs work, is gleefully still open for debate but theres no doubting how disquieting the scene is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jrof3j72EpA
