10 Weird Jobs Hollywood Stars Had Before They Were Famous
2. Stripper - Channing Tatum
As older Hollywood stars begin to fade into the background, new stars are ready in the wings to emerge as box office masters with a new generation of fans, and one actor who looks set to reach the pinnacle of the A-listers is Channing Tatum. Tatum's career so far has been a judicious mix of mainstream crowd-pleasers such as G. I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra and White House Down and more artistically challenging fare including Foxcatcher and Side Effects, which he appeared in under the directing supervision of Steven Soderbergh. His first film with that prolific director, Magic Mike, was inspired by Tatum's early job as a stripper. It's perhaps not surprising that someone with his good looks used them to their best advantage to help pay the bills - that this stripper went on to become a huge star and is appearing in films directed by Quentin Tarantino and the Coen brothers this year alone is certainly something to write home about.
