Even more bizarre than a porn star helping out MJ is this most unexpected cameo which connects Spider-Man: Homecoming to 1986's Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.

Star Trek IV's associate producer Kirk Thatcher has a memorable cameo in that film as an obnoxious, boombox-totting punk riding on the bus (pictured right), who ends up being sedated with a Vulcan nerve pinch from Spock (Leonard Nimoy).

Hilariously, Thatcher reprises the role briefly in Homecoming (pictured left), looking decidedly more dishevelled but still carrying around that trusty boombox, visible when Spider-Man (Tom Holland) speaks to a hotdog vendor (Zach Cherry).

According to Thatcher, the cameo came about after he had a meeting with Marvel and learned that producer Kevin Feige was a huge Star Trek IV fan, and fond of the punk scene in particular.

Thatcher added, "I'm hoping this turns into a long series of 'Punk on the...' cameos that can fund my early retirement."
