10 Weirdest Movie Crossovers Ever

Alien Vs. Predator is an idea very similar to Freddy Vs. Jason, yet somehow worse.

It takes two famously unstoppable alien creatures and mashes them together with complete disregard for the fact that, again, the draw of those movies was the fact it was a group of human heroes banding together to become the immovable object which stops the unstoppable force.

Any sense of the hunting and the hunted was lost in the movie, and it became a schlocky CGI fest, even moreso than Alien 3.

Speaking of which, Sigourney Weaver specifically asked to be killed off in Alien 3, knowing that Fox was planning to make Alien Vs. Predator next. She arguably knows more about the franchise than anyone, and if she was so desperate to dodge this bullet, it should have been a massive red flag.

Both movie was critically panned but grossed well, which at the end of the day is all the decision makers care about.

This was enough to green light a sequel which received, if anything, an even poorer reception from critics, yet still enjoyed a gross which tripled its budget, so a third movie may appear at some point in the future.
