10 Weirdest Roles Of Johnny Depp's Career (So Far)

3. The Wolf

The most recent role on this list, Depp only appears as The Big Bad Wolf briefly in the big-screen adaptation of the Broadway hit Into The Woods, but it€™s certainly one of the scenes that you€™ll remember once you€™ve left the cinema. Once again showcasing his ability to sort-of-sing-without-really-singing, Depp€™s Wolf is a character that could be taken a couple of ways. Is he simply an over-the-top panto villain, or is there something rather more sinister to his stalking of Little Red Riding Hood, with the song €˜Hey, Little Girl€™ erring awfully close to paedophilia. That€™s more an issue with the Sondheim lyrics (and perhaps the entire Red Riding Hood story) than Depp€™s performance, but he is certainly suitably weird and creepy in the role.
