10 Weirdest Things Famous Actors Did With Their Money

8. Dan Aykroyd - Crystal Head Vodka

Dan Aykroyd: actor? Check. Writer? Check. Vodka Salesman? Check?

Yes, Dan Aykroyd owns a vodka company. And yes, he plugs it like a shady Russian oligarch. But this is the man who made Ghostbusters, people. If he wants to spend his retirement distilling potatoes, then more power to him.

Even if the story ended there, it would be strange enough. But even stranger still is Aykroyd's chosen name for his brand.

The drink is termed "Crystal Head Vodka," and wouldn't you know it, comes complete with a bottle shaped like a creepy skull, designed by Aykroyd himself.

The reason for this is down to the SNL Alum's fascination with the thirteen crystal skulls, which, for those not in the know, are based on a theory of ancient aliens that came to prehistoric earth.

And yes, they were the ones from the terrible Indiana Jones film.

And yes, Aykroyd is apparently fully on board with the whole "aliens who came before" thing.

And yes, the vodka is reportedly pretty decent. Not too expensive either, as long as you don't mind paying just a little bit more than what you'd spend on the average bottle of Smirnoff.

It's also available worldwide, so hey, bottoms up.
