The only real surprise here is that it's not the tank from Fury.

In fact, the tank was a prop used on the set of World War Z; a legitimate Soviet era model that had been disarmed for use in filming. That being said, he could still probably run over a few critics if he really wanted.

Now, while the actual cost of the tank has never been released, you can be sure it cost the actor a pretty penny, especially since he also had to pay to have it shipped from its home in Budapest to his residence in Los Angeles.

What Brad Pitt actually does with his tank, no one's really sure, either, but considering there have yet to be reports of any GTA style rampages through the streets of Hollywood, it's safe to assume it's probably more of a talking point than anything else.

Let's just thank God Pitt has never been cast as a super hero. With his penchant for buying film accessories, there's a real danger we'd see him travelling through the streets of America in an actual Batmobile or Iron Man suit soon after filming.
