10 Wild Predictions About X-Men: Days Of Future Past
8. Bishop Is Out To Get The Traitor, Gambit
Bishop may be the real hero of the movie if his modus operandi remains the same. The entire reason the character exists is to keep a traitor from betraying the X-Men at a crucial point in history. In this movie, there appear to be several crucial moments in X-Men history. With a story spanning across so many time periods, who might be the culprit? Gambit. Over the years, because Gambit is inherently untrustworthy, it was believed that he was the thieving traitor. It turns out that the traitor was Professor X when he became Onslaught with Magneto...and also Bishop himself at the end of Messiah CompleX, but having Bishop give chase to Gambit or some other red herring would be a great way to keep to the source material with a movie twist. Fans want Gambit, and since he was long suspected by Bishop to be the traitor it would be a great gift to the fans that were disappointed with (among other things) that character's treatment in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. While Gambit does not appear to have been cast for the movie, it might just be a small surprise. It is interesting to note however, that Bishop appears to be dressed in garb similar to those he wore during Age of Apocalypse...but more on that later...
