10 Wild Predictions About X-Men: Days Of Future Past

4. Magneto Will Coerce Himself

Someone has to clue Magneto in on the Sentinel program and convince him to make a target of himself by killing President Kennedy. Who better to do that then Magneto himself? With the exception of Charles Xavier (who due to continuity won't have been on great terms with Magneto at the time of the assassination), Magneto views no man or mutant as his equal. Only Magneto could convince or coerce himself to action. Which leaves the question: why old Magneto wouldn't do it himself? Well, that depends...you might want to say that its a paradox issue. If old Magneto is successful, then he won't have to go back in time...but then again if Young Magneto is successful he won't have to go back in time. So we'll just have to chalk it up to "future knowledge" and that the jail time that they suppose on Magneto in the fake article was served for a larger purpose in Magneto's development. Speaking of future knowledge....
