10 Most Wildly Inconsistent Actors In Movie History
2. Ben Kingsley
Ben Kingsley has the kind of movie career that causes your brain to break down and the world as you know it to collapse into a kind of explosive stupor of collapsed logic. Which is another way of saying: WHAT THE HECK is up with Ben Kingsley's career? Often thought of as one of the finest actors of his generation, you need only run your eyes over his vast filmography to find some of the most ill-judged and genuinely bizarre performances ever committed to celluloid. Seriously: we're talking about some bad, bad performances, folks. So here's the man who played Gandhi and won an Oscar for it, and has offered up a smorgasbord of insanely inconsistent performances ever since. The weird thing is, Ben Kingsley seems to just get away with his bad performances - they simply disappear, never to be talked about again, almost as if the world at large are fearful of breaking the illusion of this man as a true thespian. But can we really forget such awkwardly horrible turns as those in Thunderbirds, or BloodRayne, or The Love Guru? Fact is: Ben Kingsley is not a consistent actor. At all.
