10 Woefully Miscast Actors In Comic Book Movies

7. Vinnie Jones As The Juggernaut - X-Men: The Last Stand

Lex Luthor
20th Century Fox

Former footballing hard man Vinnie Jones has had a surprisingly successful acting career, and he can be effective when playing exaggerated versions of himself. Unfortunately, when he is called upon to show some actual acting chops he tends to struggle. This was certainly true in his goofy turn as villain Juggernaut in X-Men: The Last Stand.

The creative decision to cast Vinnie Jones and use him as comic relief is one that would not have gone down well with comic book fans, and the fact that Jones is constantly dropping one-liners is certainly not reminiscent of the character. He is given very little backstory (although with a film as bloated as The Last Stand already this was hardly surprising) and he is distracting in every scene he appears for all the wrong reasons.

The fact that his costume looks cheap and downright ridiculous certainly did not help either. Jones doesn't really know how to act as anyone other than himself, and unfortunately casting him as The Juggernaut turned the character into a joke.

And let’s not forget the ‘I’m the Juggernaut bitch!’ line, somehow not the worst line in the X-Men movie franchise history, but certainly close.
