10 Woefully Miscast Actors In Comic Book Movies
5. Halle Berry As Catwoman - Catwoman
There are undoubtedly some bad films on this list, but French director Pitof’s Catwoman, released back in 2004, is unquestionably the worst. Rather than use the pre-established character of Selina Kyle, the decision was made instead to create a new Catwoman for this film, that of graphic designer Patience Phillips.
This criminal mishandling of the character is only one of a number of flaws for this movie, with a nonsensical plot, a terrible script, poor editing and a series of forgettable and one-dimensional characters.
Somewhat hilariously, Halle Berry turned up to the Razzies in person to accept her award for worst actress for this film, thanking Warner Bros for ‘’casting me in this piece-of-sh--, god-awful movie.’’
Clearly just appearing for the money, Berry sleepwalks her way through the film, knowing full well how bad the movie she's starring in actually is. Almost reminiscent of Batman & Robin, she drops a number of terrible cat-based puns and bizarrely at times actually acts like a cat, which includes eating catnip, hissing at dogs and licking people’s faces.
That Razzie award was thoroughly deserved.
