7. Will Graham
"He's not going to stop [...] it makes him God. Would you give that up?" Graham's case is a very complex and sad one. He is not a monster, but he's not too far from being one. He was already going through some tough times before his life was completely changed by a close encounter with Dr. Hannibal Lecter, and after that he would never be the same. His mind works in a very different way than Hannibal's or any other person's mind because he can empathize with the serial killer, and actually understand him for the most part. His imagination allows him to see the whole thing through the eyes of the killer. This "ability" scares him a lot because he thinks that deep inside he is like the monsters he hunts down working for the FBI. And apparently Hannibal Lecter thinks the same way. That's why he was so interested in Graham, why he felt the need to taunt him at every moment. To see him becoming what he really is. Graham's constant fights with the dark side of his mind are what makes this character so interesting. It doesn't matter which version of the character you see, it's still a very interesting character to see and analyze.
