10 Worst Birthdays In Horror Movies

7. Happy Death Day

Clown 2014

You didn't really think we could get through this list without mentioning modern horror hit Happy Death Day, did you?

First hitting screens in 2017, Happy Death Day tells the story of college student Theresa Gelbma - otherwise known as Tree. She wakes up on her birthday, goes about her day as usual then meets her terrible end in the evening, only to wake up again at the beginning of the day. Not only has she seemingly survived death, but she appears to be stuck in a time loop on that fateful day.

Trying to avoid death each day the loop continues, Tree has to find out who her masked killer is and save herself and life as she knows it in the process. It's a pretty sweet deal, getting to live your birthday over and over again and be immortal at the same time. Yeah, I'm sure being murdered isn't fun, but at least every day can be a party!

It has all the fun of the black comedy slasher but also the intrigue of the whodunnit. The time-loop is something that really has been done to death, but luckily this film tackles it in such a way as to revive it with each waking morning.
