10 Worst Dads In Horror Movie History

8. Andy King - Exhibit A

When talking about stellar domestic horror, the first example you should (fittingly) bring up is Exhibit A. This movie is an unflinching, brutal and painful experience, but it doesn't scare you with monsters or supernatural threats; no, no, it hits you with the harsh reality of a family falling apart.

The film is a found-footage flick that follows a young girl (Judith) documenting her life. It's innocent at first, but as financial troubles begin to plague the King family, the dark and frightening side of their father (Andy) begins to rear its ugly head.

Andy's descent is horrifying as it feels entirely authentic. He's incredibly believable thanks to the performance from Bradley Cole, who brings a lifelike quality that has you constantly forgetting that this is a movie and not real footage.

As a dad, Andy is erratic, emotional, unreasonable and entirely at odds with his wife and kids. This all builds to a climax that will leave you shocked and appalled.

Exhibit A is a masterclass in subtle domestic horror, and the terrible papa King is the key to its effectiveness.
