10 Worst Disaster Movies Of All Time

5. Into The Storm

To any avid film watcher, a blending between the found footage and disaster genres sounds like a pairing matched in the lowest area of hell. With all the chaos of a disaster film filtered through the shaky camera style of the found footage genre, a headache is guaranteed to happen.

Despite this, it can work. Cloverfield proved this in spades. It has fantastic visuals, combined with a tense story that is enhanced by the found footage techniques.

Into The Storm does not do this. In fact the description provided in the first paragraph is probably the most accurate review of the film.

Sure there are characters, and a general sense of a plot, but nothing really happens aside from fire and fury that is difficult to discern.

All the characters are bland and uninteresting, and the thrust of the story feels like a B version of a Roland Emmerich outing. Not the most flattering comparison.

It would all be more tolerable if the tornadoes actually looked good, but aside from a few impressive moments, the effects are pretty substandard.
