10 Worst Foods In Film That Will Put You Off Eating Forever

10. Live Octopus - Oldboy (2003)

This is an iconic scene for many Asian Cinema fans in an engrossingly weird film from Park Chan Wook. Following his escape from a fifteen-year incarceration, the protagonist Oh Dae Su has gone a little loopy. After all, he€™s been drugged and gassed daily with nothing but one-way conversations with his battered television. He walks into a restaurant and says €˜I want to eat something alive.€™ He€™s given a rather larger octopus and proceeds to eat the entire thing whole; much to the shock of the waitress as the tentacles writhe over his face and up his nostrils. For this scene, the octopus was actually eaten alive (seven were used during the scene€™s creation). You start to wonder whether the director and actor were getting along. Choi Min-sik, the poor actor in this grisly scene, was actually a Buddhist and said a prayer for each one. Now that€™s suffering for your art. There are actual Korean meals where you eat a squid whole (called Sannakji), it€™s important to chew the tentacles to ensure you don€™t get them stuck in your throat like a scene from a horrible Hentai movie.
