10 Worst Foods In Film That Will Put You Off Eating Forever

6. The Main Course - The Cook, The Thief, His Wife And Her Lover (1989)

This sumptuous feast has all the makings of a Shakespearian tragedy; the sex, the set up, the villainous; gluttonous tyrant and his eventual downfall. It€™s a beautiful film to watch; especially in Greenaway€™s luscious red and black colour scheme and selection of gourmet foods. Beautiful perhaps, up until a man is force-fed the pages from a book on the French Revolution and a €˜last supper€™ is served. This is a moment of true culinary horror, the chef rolling out a large platter of roasted corpse. Greenaway holds your gaze steady upon the panicked diner just long enough to make you begin considering what you might do in such a sticky situation, would you let yourself die or take up the mantle of a cannibal?
