10 Worst Horror Movie Decisions With Unbelievable Consequences

5. Digging Up Jason Voorhees - Friday The 13th Part VI: Jason Lives

Now, anyone with much knowledge of Jason Voorhees at all would know it's probably best to just leave his corpse the hell alone.

But even so, Jason's arch-nemesis Tommy Jarvis (Thom Mathews) couldn't have ever anticipated what would happen when he dug up Jason (C.J. Graham) with the intent of cremating him.

After digging Jason up, Tommy impales him with a metal fence post, at which point two lightning bolts strike the post and reanimate Jason as a glorified zombie.

Cue Jason resuming his murderous ways and killing almost 20 people in this movie alone, let alone the many dozens of lives he takes in the numerous sequels that follow.

On one hand, how could Tommy have ever expected Jason to be reanimated courtesy of a freak occurrence? But on the other, given that Jason wasn't bothering anybody during his extended dirt nap - and appeared to be legitimately dead for good - it was probably best to just leave him be.

As much as Tommy is a fan favourite character, he undeniably has the blood of every subsequent victim in the franchise on his hands.
