6. The Thing - The Thing
Horror movie villains don't get much more existentially terrifying than The Thing, which won't only kill you, it'll obliterate your entire sense of self while doing so.
Though the precise particulars of the titular shapeshifting extraterrestrial entity's M.O. are kept intentionally vague, we know that it operates by assimilating its target - attacking and infecting their body while creating a perfect physical and mental imitation of everything they are.
The most unsettling thing of all, though, is the ambiguity regarding where the victim ends and the Thing begins - that is, are the victims aware, even if only subconsciously, that they've been assimilated, and when does their life truly end?
The lack of clarity only makes the Thing that much more disturbing a killer, and that's without even getting into the inevitable moment where an infected person is "outed," the Thing mutates their body in a grotesque way, and they probably end up getting torched by a survivor in the vicinity.
