10 Worst Horror Movies Of 2018
9. The Nun
This year's entry into the Conjuring Cinematic Universe (that's the horror equivalent of Marvel's interconnecting superhero movies, for those wondering) was not a good time. Seeming to forget exactly what made the first movies so successful and walking down the shameful path of the first Annabelle spin off, The Nun is a tired ghost story that's been seen and done before, in much better and innovative ways.
It isn't enough to just have a creepy premise and play it out down spooky corridors in these Hollywood horror blockbusters, but that's exactly what happens for a good hour and a half of screen time. Despite an excellent soundtrack, Corin Hardy leads a predictable narrative that's as thin as it is dark.
Considering the set of gnashers on the titular nun herself, this film is ironically pretty toothless.
