10 Worst Horror Movies Of 2018
8. Truth Or Dare
Honestly, taking a look at Blumhouse's trailer for Truth or Dare should have revealed just about all we needed to know about this movie before it ever came out. Watching a bunch of teenager's faces contort into CGI smiles was never going to be a particularly well-produced concept, but it could have still stood out as schlocky fun if given the right tone.
Truth Or Dare does try to hit that standard, but fails miserably in the process, churning out another typical teenager scare-fest in the vein of Final Destination without any of the crazy set up. Unintentionally funny and consisting of truth or dare challenges that aren't particularly groundbreaking, the group of friends out to party in Mexico don't have the character work surrounding them to make up for the film's downfalls.
It's one of those 'watchable trash' movies that underpin the horror genre, but that doesn't make it any good.
