7. Silent Deadpool

X-Men Origins: Wolverine was a pretty terrible film - that's something established in the previous point - but it wasn't detrimental to the X-Men franchise in any significant way as it was only a Wolverine movie and wasn't, therefore, representative of the X-Men as a collective. However, it could have been so much better and would have been so much better if Deadpool wasn't butchered by the portrayal of the character in this movie. Ryan Reynolds was the supposed "merc with a mouth" and his portrayal of Wade Wilson was pretty decent but, when the character was transformed the "the Deadpool" as he was described in the movie, it all went downhill. His mouth was sealed shut, so the main aspect of the character was denied, and he was granted a mish-mash of powers that he doesn't have in the comic books. Deadpool has so many fans, the people behind this awful incarnation surely couldn't have expected anyone to receive it favourably.
