10. Clifton James - Live And Let Die & The Man With The Golden Gun
In all fairness to Clifton James, he played the part of Sheriff J. W. Pepper about as well as he could. It was just a terrible one-note character, completely ill-fitting with the franchise as a whole. Pepper sticks out like a sore thumb amongst the traditional suavity and danger of the 007 universe, and is unfortunately present for one of the most iconic car stunts ever - Golden Gun's corkscrew bridge jump. To see a brash American authority figure done right, check out Joe Don Baker's turn as Jack Wade in Goldeneye.
