Spider-Man 3 was the final entry in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy, marking Tobey Maguire's last turn as the iconic web-slinger.

attempts to introduce three separate villains at once, giving none of them the time or dedication that they warranted.

Extending far beyond its reach, each of Spider-Man 3's villains had the potential for a story that carried some emotional weight, but instead none of them received the screen-time they warranted.

Spidey's ongoing fight with New Goblin should have quite possibly been the core of the movie, giving that the previous two films had seen Peter and Harry's relationship slowly twist and sour as Mary Jane and the death of Harry's father came between them, but instead it was reduced to one of three sub-plots that were unceremoniously pasted together in the film's final minutes.

The worst part is that we never get to see the two old friends genuinely face off, instead getting an extended pursuit before seeing Harry comically trip on one of Peter's web and fall from his glider, causing him to hit his head and develop amnesia.

It was disappointing, and it left a lot of fans feeling emotionally robbed by the hours they had invested in the pair's story.
