10 Worst Marvel Superhero Movies Ever
5. Elektra
You know how ridiculous it was that there were no major superhero movies starring women until Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel came along? Well, other than sheer stupidity, you can put a lot of the blame on Elektra.
A spin-off/sequel to 2003's Daredevil, Jennifer Garner starred as the assassin as she gets revived and sent to kill a father that she bonds with. The production was fairly rushed to the big screen, and as such, the writing and plot were paper thin.
The movie bombed, earning the ire of critics. While Garner herself was great, she just wasn't given anything to work with, and critics now look back on this movie as the reason why her career was ruined. Former Marvel CEO Ike Perlmutter used this film as an excuse not to make any female-led movies with Marvel properties, and it wasn't until he stepped down when Marvel Studios would be able to change that. What a waste.
