10 Worst Movie CGI Of 2021

9. The Knightmare Epilogue - Zack Snyder's Justice League

The mere fact that Zack Snyder's Justice League exists at all is a miracle, and that it's actually good? Madness.

And though Warner Bros. gave Snyder $70 million to complete his original vision of the film, when you're dealing with a four-hour superhero movie that requires a ton of unfinished CGI to be completed, that money was probably stretched pretty thin.

It'd certainly explain the film's mind-bogglingly ugly Knightmare epilogue, which Snyder shot a few months before the film's release.

All the actors involved filmed their performances against a green screen, and due to logistical issues many of them weren't even on set at the same time, instead being composited together.

This was doubly true for Ezra Miller, who was in London shooting Fantastic Beasts 3 and literally had to deliver his performance over a Zoom call with the director.

This likely explains why The Flash is easily the roughest-looking part of the scene - Miller's face has clearly been awkwardly pasted into the Flash's armour, and in some shots his face even looks so rubbery that it's probably 100% CGI.

Cyborg (Ray Fisher) wasn't looking too hot in the scene either, honestly, but he wasn't nearly as distracting as the uncanny valley rendition of Barry Allen.
