7. Yelena's Plushie - Black Widow

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It
Marvel Studios

In Black Widow's prologue, we see a teenage Natalia Romanoff living in the United States with a group of Russian spies under the pretence they are a regular American family. After being exposed by the authorities, they fly to Cuba, narrowly avoiding been arrested by S.H.I.E.L.D. operatives.

Unfortunately, Natalia's 'mother' Melina gets shot during the escape, leaving her badly wounded. Even though they aren't related, Yelena, who is posing as Natalia's sister, is too young to understand and so absolutely believes her birth mother is gravely injured. Watching Yelena sob over the woman she thinks is her mom is probably the most heart-wrenching moment in the film.

However, this scene can be ruined for some viewers if they notice Yelena is holding a My Little Pony plushie while cradling her mother.

Why is that a big deal? Because this scene is set in 1995 - nearly 20 years before this plushie existed! If this stuffed toy was removed from this scene, this tender moment wouldn't have lost any of its emotional impact. Unnecessarily including this plushie in this shot just creates an annoying plot hole.
