10 Worst Movie Trailers Of All Time

3. The Room

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=yCj8sPCWfUw Often called "the Citizen Kane of bad movies", Tommy Wiseau's The Room is a classic of so-bad-it's-good filmmaking, a film so awful on every level that it's become an unintentionally campy classic. It's an absolute calamity of a film, and one that no mere trailer can do justice, but they give it a pretty good shot anyway, capturing many of the film's best/worst dialogue ("You're tearing me apart Lisa!"), and the absolutely atrocious array of performances that the film has to offer. It also makes it clear how ego-centric Wiseau is, with him ensuring some of the film's awkward sex scenes get highlighted in the trailer, shoved in between some of the horrible green-screen work that occurs during the rooftop scenes. The best bit comes at the end, though, with the various unattributed quotes that are flashed up onto the screen in cheap Clip-Art font. The best has to be "a film with the passion of Tennessee Williams", which we can only assume was something that Wiseau thought up himself, alongside perhaps most ludicrously, "the best movie of the year". Rumours persist that Wiseau is really just a troll who deliberately made a bad film, but it's difficult to imagine that anyone could be so brilliantly, consistently inept on purpose.
