http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIeMYPfnST0 This trailer is effective in the sense that it means you don't have to see the film, and for anyone who has seen Dream House, you'll know that this is a good thing. Oscar-nominated director Jim Sheridan's catastrophic downfall continues with this terrible supernatural thriller, which plays its biggest conceit right in the middle of its trailer, basically giving nobody anywhere reason to go see it. For a film starring the likes of Daniel Craig, Naomi Watts, Rachel Weisz, and Elias Koteas, it's shocking that they couldn't even find a way to cut a more intriguing trailer, though that would rely on the film having anything interesting in it whatsoever. It's your typical haunted house set-up, with Craig, Weisz and their children moving into a house only to find out that a murder occurred there, with the husband killing everyone. Daniel Craig's character goes to the mental institution to find out more, when it's revealed that...Craig is the killer. And what's more, the trailer freely gives this away, despite the fact that it occurs roughly an hour into the film and is essentially the film's big twist. No doubt a sign of desperation on the part of the distributor, and ironically one that probably turned people away.
