10 Worst Movies By The Best Directors

6. Survival Of The Dead – George A. Romero

Steven Spielberg 1941
E1 Entertainment

There are so many uncreative zombie flicks overstuffing the horror genre, you'd assume a movie titled Survival of the Dead was just another trite zomfest, feebly attempting to recreate the scares of George A. Romero’s Night of the Living Dead.

However, this film WAS made by George A. Romero! But because of the shoddy camera work and dire editing, you’d swear Survival of the Dead was put together by a film student... while drunk... and blind.

What makes this sequel worse is how pointless it is. The story revolves around a group of humans who are trying to decide whether to kill zombies or cure them.

That's a great idea... which was already done in Romero's third zombie outing, Day of the Dead! Because Survival of the Dead brings nothing new to the table, you wonder why Romero was inspired to make it.

If you considered giving it a gander just to check it out the gore, don't bother. Instead of relying on practical effects like Romero's early work, all the brutal death scenes are ruined by poorly rendered CGI.

Just when you thought Survival of the Dead couldn't be more depressing, this was the last movie Romero made before he died.
