10 Worst Movies Ever Released In January

5. I, Frankenstein

Lionsgate

Release Date: 24 January 2014

Why It’s Bad: Imagine Blade and Underworld repurposed as a soulless, barely coherent “product” by pod people and you’ve got I, Frankenstein, which now seems like a Dire Warning that went unheeded – for God’s sake, don’t let Jai Courtney anywhere near the Die Hard and Terminator franchises.

Anyway, the real tragedy of the movie is that it should have been great because the writer/director is Stuart Beattie who scripted Collateral and 30 Days Of Night, while the cast includes Aaron Eckhart and Bill Nighy. Eckhart in particular deserves some sort of good sport award for retaining our interest while the movie falls apart around him.

What The Critics Said: “The humourless, generic and chatty Frankenstein served up here makes you wonder if the good doctor, in all his patching together of parts, didn’t forget the brains.” (Movie Nation)
