10 Worst Movies Of 2020

4. The Last Days Of American Crime

Netflix

One of two movies on this list to get 0% on Rotten Tomatoes, The Last Days of American Crime is proof perfect that executive meddling isn't always a bad thing, and that Netflix's laissez-faire approach to their filmmakers can have disastrous results.

This dramatically inert adaptation of Rick Remender and Greg Tocchini's 2009 graphic novel is a 149-minute slog from Taken 2 and 3 director Olivier Megaton.

Despite an appealingly off-kilter premise - the U.S. prepares to release a signal making people unable to commit crime - this miserable action-thriller is a dispassionate mish-mash of countless better heist films, with an ensemble cast who largely look like they're ready for a nap.

Only Michael Pitt, who delivers a thoroughly ridiculous supporting performance, is at all memorable here, but he can do little to improve a film so aggressively keen to leave audiences bored and irritated.
