10 Worst Movies Of 2020
2. The Wrong Missy
Netflix delivered the worst comedy of the year with The Wrong Missy, a painfully unfunny and deeply annoying film about a guy, Tim (David Spade), who accidentally invites his mentally unstable stalker, Missy (Lauren Lapkus), on a business retreat with him.
As hilarious and talented as Lapkus can be, she's wildly off-note here, delivering a performance that's thoroughly obnoxious in even its best moments, rarely rousing even a faint pity-laugh.
The Razzie-worthy script is made even worse by two separate jokes about casual sexual assault, not to mention an extremely questionable depiction of mental illness.
You know exactly where the movie's going, and it's completely unconvincing all the way there. If you thought Adam Sandler's Netflix comedies were lousy, this is somehow even worse.
