10 Worst Oscar Winning Actors Ever

6. Jennifer Hudson

Jennifer Hudson's 2007 Best Supporting Actress win for her performance in Dreamgirls remains one of the most puzzling Oscar wins in recent memory, not because it was a bad performance, but because it wasn't really acting.

Almost the entirety of Hudson's performance in the movie revolves around her singing ability, and little is actually asked of her when it comes to a dramatic rendition. Even so, the Academy misguidedly gave her the gong over the far more worthy Cate Blanchett (Notes on a Scandal), Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine) and Rinko Kikuchi (Babel).

While it would've been satisfying to see Hudson prove her Oscar worth in her post-Dreamgirls career, it sadly never came to fruition, instead appearing in movies both terrible (Sex and the City 2, Winnie Mandela) and totally forgettable (Sandy Wexler). She's a great singer, but as an actress, she's utterly unambitious and unremarkable.
