10 Worst Performances In Batman Movies

The roles that make you wonder what the hell everyone on set was thinking...

Batman films have been some serious bank for Warner Brothers since 1989, when Tim Burton breathed a bit of darkness into the character that had mainly been associated with the pop-art parody of Bill Dozier€™s 1960s TV series. And since then we have seen seven movies from three different film makers, ecompassing a myriad of actors portraying a mini universe of different characters. During this time there have been some career defining performances that captured the tone of the source material, and elevated the vision of their director. The most obvious of these would be the two contrasting, yet equally ground breaking Joker depictions from Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger. But it is fair to say that actors like Christian Bale and Michelle Pfeiffer created iconic depictions of their characters too, and particularly in Nolan€™s films, there has been an ocean of strong supporting actors. Unfortunately though we have also seen some pretty woeful performances as well. Sometimes it€™s simply a case of movie economics €“ if one thing works in one film, then you simply take that same thing and make it even louder in the sequel, even if it doesn€™t make sense or is to the detriment of the overall product. Other times though, it€™s simply a case of miscasting an actor, and making them swim in a pool that is well out of their depth. So here we present to you, not the best of the performances we have seen in the last seven Batman movies, but the worst performances. These are the ones that make you roll your eyes, grit your teeth, leave you confounded, and make you pine for hypothetical lost opportunities that could have been€
