10 Worst Performances In Batman Movies

1. Everyone €“ Everyone (Batman And Robin)

No doubt you will have noticed by now that this list has not featured any performances from the 1997 abomination Batman and Robin. But there is good reason for this €“ the article is only about the ten worst performances in Batman films, and the performances in Batman and Robin could warrant an entire list on their own. Nobody in this horrific film is really worse than the other, so we've put them all at number one, since quite frankly, they are all atrocious. Arnold Schwarzenegger - Mr Freeze. The decision to cast Arnie was mind blowing. Aside from the fact that the original Mr Freeze is not an Austrian Goliath, Arnie does not have the skillset to do justice to the beautiful €˜Heart of Ice€™ storyline that clearly inspired this awful rendition of an amazing character. Uma Thurman - Poison Ivy. This rendition by Thurman makes Nicole Kidman€™s performance in Batman Forever look as good as Nicole Kidman€™s performance in The Hours. George Clooney €“ Batman/Bruce Wayne. Some people might argue that it was a bold and innovative idea by Clooney to do no acting whatsoever when taking on this role. Some people would be wrong. Chris O€™Donnell €“ Robin/Dick Grayson. If you think he was an immature brat in Forever, wait until you see how petulant a thirty year old man can be in this film. Alicia Silverstone €“ Batgirl/Barbara Gordon. It€™s hard to find a €˜sympathetic€™ character less likeable and more juvenile than O€™Donnell€™s Robin. But Silverstone absolutely nails this achievement. Robert Swenson €“ Bane. If you gave a small child a Bane action figure and they played with it, it would be exactly the same as Swenson€™s performance right down to the sound he makes when he is growling. Elle Macpherson €“ Julie Madison. The best proof we currently have that supermodels should never try and act. John Glover €“ Dr Jason Woodrue. He is so cartoonish and so ridiculous that as viewers we are happy to see Thurman€™s awful Poison Ivy destroy him. Vivica A Fox €“ Ms. B Haven. You can€™t do much if this is your character€™s name and your role is to flirt with a bald, blue Arnold Schwarzenegger. But Fox€™s ongoing flirtations with Freeze will still make you want to vomit with discomfort. Elizabeth Sanders €“ Gossip Gerty. This is why family members (in this case Sanders is Bob Kane€™s wife) should not just get access to film roles by default.
