10 Worst Sci-Fi Horror Movies Of All Time

5. Robot Monster

In Robot Monster, an alien called Ro-Man has obliterated all human life on Earth, save for eight people. He then invades the world and hunts the survivors, hoping to pick them off one-by-one. Now as a concept, that sounds genuinely scary. Considering Ro-Man has the ability to wipe out billions of lives in an instant, you'd assume this entity would be terrifying.

Instead, Ro-Man resembles a gorilla wearing a lunar helmet (which is often erroneously referred to as a diver's helmet). The sinister simian looks so idiotic, it feels a crew member picked the first two props he saw in a costume store and said "There! That's your monster!" The poster tries to hide how silly the titular character looks by painting a skull on the front of Ro-Man's helmet. (It doesn't work. He still looks ridiculous.)

Although the sets, dialogue, and acting aren't great, it's the look of Ro-Man that destroys any chance of the movie being taken seriously. While watching Robot Monster, you want to ask the director, "If you didn't have an alien costume lying around, why did you make an alien movie?"
