10 Worst Sci-Fi Horror Movies Of All Time

6. Doom

The gaming community is always skeptical when an adaptation of a video game is set to hit the big screen. But when a film based on the influential first-person shooter of all time, Doom, was announced it sounded like it had potential. Not only did it star Karl Urban, Dwayne Johnson, and Rosamund Pike, the director promised to incorporate the FPS style into the movie. After hearing that, gamers were hopeful that this Doom movie wasn't... well... doomed.

And MAN were they wrong. The visual effects are sub-par, the story is lame, and the acting is terrible. Rosamund Pike, who is a phenomenal actress, seems so uninterested in each scene, you wonder why she agreed to appear in the movie.

But at least it's like the game, right?

Nope. Despite the fact the Doom franchise centres around battling the forces of Hell, there are ZERO demons in the movie. No Hell Knights. No Mancubi. No Pain Elementals. No Hell. If you were hoping to see the game's most iconic gun, The BFG9000, in action, it is used in the movie to shoot... a wall. The story feels so divorced from the classic shooter, it feels like this adaptation was designed solely to upset Doom fans.
